Feasibility Study for the Proposed Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3)

The Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) project is to connect Kelana Jaya to Klang with integrations to the existing rail lines for connectivity between the western corridor of Klang Valley and KL City Centre. LRT3 is in line with SPAD’s Urban Rail Development Plan (URDP) of Greater Klang Valley Public Transport Masterplan. LRT3 will provide convenient and cost effective system with minimum need for land acquisition and will be well integrated with other transport services.

Detail Description of Actual Services Provided:

Technical and engineering parameters, traffic projections, integration with the existing public transport systems, land acquisition, maximizing new developments and any further expansion to meet the future demands.

  • Optimum alignment through a value engineering exercise with reference to SPAD’s URDP and relevant local authorities development plans
  • To provide impact assessments to environmental and socio economic
  • To identify and propose various Systems suitable for operational requirements

To recommend implementation plan, contracting strategy, economic and financial analysis.
